Overview
Sponsored Programs is part of the Office of Research, a group dedicated to aiding the research community in navigating the lifecycle of their work, from finding funding to creating proposals to helping inventions find their way to the public. Job Summary: Operations Analyst. The Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the core data management and business operational functions within Sponsored Programs. This position collaborates with internal teams, including Pre-Award, Contracting, Awards, Subawards, and Post-Award. The primary mission is to provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally. This role manages the hub of communications in sponsored programs from faculty, administrators, and our sponsors, triaging hundreds of critical communications daily to ensure proposal deadlines are met, and award review is being facilitated. This office handles time-sensitive, deadline-driven work daily. This role provides data management services for the Operations team, including quality-assuring data for our monthly, quarterly, and annual institutional reporting. This role is the backbone that ensures SP teams are supported in their critical responsibilities and can serve as backup for Award Maintenance Associates. Reviewing and quality assurance of data related to research activities. Collaborate with multiple teams, manage information, and triage critical communications. Answer inquiries, manage inventory, assist with projects, and support audits. Serve as the backbone of data and administrative support to ensure timely proposal deadlines and award review facilitation. Provide data management services for the Operations team and support monthly, quarterly, and annual institutional reporting. Support backup functions for Award Maintenance Associates. Qualifications
At least three years of administrative experience or equivalent. Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience. Excellent attention to detail and comfort working in different technical systems with appropriate training. Strong customer service and effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with a wide range of people on various tasks in a deadline-driven environment. Regularly able to talk or hear; able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and bend to lift items up to 20 pounds.
