What You'll Do
Provide Onsite Representative (OSR) support to NSWCDD DNA by providing administrative and technical support, performing ship checks, attending local meetings, providing critical fleet schedule information and coordination, and serving as liaison to the ship.
Deliver Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) OSR support located at Naval Station San Diego, CA.
Support all efforts required to deliver new TSCE baselines to the fleet; coordinate efforts to meet fleet requirements and assist with agreements such as MOA and MOU.
Develop ship inspection procedures (including test procedures) and ship check reports; provide reports with photographs where permitted.
Perform AIT installations, removals, overhauls, upgrades, and/or technical assistance for assemblies, units, equipment, systems, ECPs, and alterations.
Coordinate with the Activity's Alteration Installation Team (AIT) to ensure materials and applicable instructions are approved and installed.
Adhere to shipboard protocol requirements as defined within Section C.5.10.
Support underway periods as required to achieve tasking objectives.
Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user systems, coordinating with network engineers and other IT staff to ensure optimal system performance.
What You Bring
Proven technical expertise in managing multi-user computer systems, monitoring performance, and configuring operating systems in a mission-critical environment.
Strong background in systems security administration, including user account management, system hardening, and enforcing security best practices.
Advanced troubleshooting capabilities to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with engineers, users, and vendors to support and improve system operations.
Qualifications Required:
Min 10 years with BS/BA, minimum of 8 years with MS/MA; minimum of 5 years with PhD
Minimum IAT Level II required prior to start date
Ability to obtain within 30 days of start date IAT Level III certification as a condition of continued employment: CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP
A combined total of ten (10) years of full-time professional/education experience in the following areas: computer security, military system specifications, and DoD cybersecurity policies; LCS TSCE or CANES experience; RMF and IA boundary defense techniques; experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Switches/Routers, CDS, EMASS, and Endpoint Security Solutions; STIG implementation; vulnerability assessments with ACAS; remediation of findings including vendor patches on Linux and Windows
DoD Secret level clearance or above
Current U.S. Passport or ability to obtain prior to start
Travel:
50-75% OCONUS travel may be required
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
MS and 8 years of professional engineering experience
10 years+ experience analyzing log data, traffic analysis, audits, digital footprint and risk intelligence analysis; ability to rectify vulnerabilities
DoD Top Secret clearance preferred
Cyber certifications such as OSCP, GIAC GSOC, CompTIA CySA+, CISSP (ISC2)
Certified Navy Validator
Compensation and Benefits Target Salary Range: $104,000 - $166,000. Salary is based on scope, experience, education, skills, and location. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonus may apply depending on position.
