Overview
As a Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs for Call-Takers, Dispatchers, and Supervisors. Your expertise in emergency dispatch operations and your ability to foster a positive learning environment will be crucial in ensuring that our team is well-prepared to handle critical situations effectively. Key Responsibilities
Training Program Development:
Design and develop comprehensive training programs, including curriculum, training materials, and scenario-based exercises, tailored to Call-Takers and Dispatchers. Ensure programs align with organizational goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Regularly update materials to reflect evolving standards and technologies. Delivery of Training Sessions:
Conduct engaging, interactive training sessions for Call-Takers, Dispatchers, and Supervisors. Utilize multimedia resources, case studies, and real-life examples to enhance learning. Foster a positive and participative learning environment. Subject Matter Expertise:
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in emergency dispatch operations. Share insights and expertise with trainees to enhance their skills and knowledge. Training Needs Assessment:
Conduct assessments to identify knowledge gaps and training needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor programs to address specific areas for improvement. Training Material Preparation:
Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date training materials, including presentations, manuals, and multimedia resources. Incorporate interactive exercises and simulations to improve learning outcomes. Performance Evaluation:
Assess trainee performance using various evaluation methods, including role-playing, quizzes, and practical assessments. Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and track progress to support skill enhancement. Seek feedback to identify areas for improvement in training programs. Adapt materials and delivery methods based on feedback and industry standards. Ensure proficiency in dispatch software, communication systems, and other relevant technologies. Provide training on optimizing technology use for effective response and resource allocation. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of training sessions, evaluations, and completion. Generate reports on training outcomes and identify trends for management review. Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with other trainers, project managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive training program. Share best practices and contribute to developing organizational training strategies. Requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with adult learning principles and training methodologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to accommodate 24/7 schedules. Willingness to travel to various training locations.
