Responsibilities
Develop innovative solutions for challenging problems related to defense systems
Engage with R&D customers and transition partners to identify technical needs
Lead research in naval surface platforms, autonomy, and resilient systems
Deliver software products and lead teams in developing resilient systems solutions
Track technology trends and identify future software R&D funding opportunities
Qualifications
Proven track record in proposing and executing work with agencies like DARPA within the last 5 years
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field with 15+ years of experience, or a Ph.D. with 8+ years of experience
Experience with programming languages such as Java, Scala, C/C++, Ruby, Rust, or Python
Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience engaging senior leadership
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related degree
Experience in FPGA development, embedded systems design, and formal methods
Background in applied research areas like autonomous vehicles or smart sensors
Proven customer relationship skills with the ability to identify technical challenges
Experience developing software for critical applications requiring certification
