Assistant, Associate or Full Professor (HS Clin, Clin X, In-Res, Adjunct) Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgeons University of California San Diego Position description

The University of California, San Diego, Department of Otolaryngology (https://oto.ucsd.edu) is committed to academic excellence within the faculty, staff, and student body, and seeks otolaryngologists with expertise in head and neck surgical oncology to join our department. The positions include responsibilities in research, education, and clinical service. Duties include providing patient care, teaching medical students, supervising residents, participating in on-call coverage, conducting scholarly research, and contributing to projects that expand the clinical service. Selected candidates will devote 50-90% of their time to clinical care, with the exact allocation determined by their clinical and research skills and responsibilities. The appropriate series and appointment at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level will be based on the candidate's background and experience. Basic qualifications (required at time of application) Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Otolaryngology. Candidates must have, or be eligible for, a California medical license or an equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California. Preferred qualifications Candidates who have successfully completed, or are in the process of completing, an AHNS-approved fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology, are preferred.
