Overview

Wi-Fi Network Engineer III position with Epsilon, Inc. (now part of AMERICAN SYSTEMS). Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr. The wage range represents potential compensation opportunities; starting salary is determined by the hiring manager based on experience, education, skills, and qualifications. Location: Hybrid onsite/remote work; report to the State Department location in Washington, DC with flexibility to work from home based on business needs. Note: Epsilon is a wholly owned subsidiary of AMERICAN SYSTEMS until December 31, 2025, transitioning fully on January 1, 2026. Benefits and compensation details will be discussed with the recruiter. Responsibilities

As a Wi-Fi Network Engineer III, design and support network strategies using Cisco WLAN technology platforms under the direction of the Senior Wi-Fi Team Lead. Implement, optimize, and maintain the network, including support, installation, configuration, documentation, and management. Provide full life-cycle support for network services: installation, tuning, testing, monitoring, operation, maintenance, upgrading, patching, break/fix, and management of designated network distribution systems and equipment. Perform on-site or in-house servicing, repairs and/or installations of network components and provide Tier 3 technical support to customers. Key Technical Responsibilities

Assist in managing a Cisco Enterprise Wireless Network using Cisco DNA, Identity Services Engine (ISE), Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC), Hyperflex, Virtual Servers, Firewall Threat Defense, and Firewall Management Center. Implement patches, upgrades, and security compliance standards on all network devices. Operate and maintain a Cisco Software Defined Access solution. Analyze network topologies, traffic, and capacity requirements. Assist/lead the creation of technical manuals, operating procedures, and other support documentation. Provide Tier 3 technical support and troubleshooting for client/user support. Perform server and virtual network administration duties to maintain operations. Assist with site surveys, requirements collection, and planning of wireless deployments. Travel occasionally for installations and support; participate in special projects. Experience with building out network design/documentation. Basic Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship required. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C), candidates must meet the conditions. 7-12 years of Wireless/Wi-Fi Network Engineering or related experience. Knowledge of Cisco devices including ISE, CMX, DNA, and SD-Access; deep understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and security (IEEE 802.11 standards). Experience testing wireless products (APs, controllers, WLAN infrastructure, client devices). Strong knowledge of security protocols and authentication (WPA2, EAP-TLS, 802.1x, AAA); hands-on with RADIUS (ISE) and MFA. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and site-survey tools (e.g., Ekahau Site Survey). Strong Visio documentation skills and ability to work in a team with excellent customer service. Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. CCNP is highly desired; CCNP-W is preferred. Other Requirements

Occasional travel required; local travel during business hours with possible 10% out-of-area travel and overnight stays. Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret; federal contract position requires appropriate clearance or public trust. Adjudication by government; if unobtainable, candidate cannot be placed. Subject to a federal background investigation. Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Prolonged computer desk work; dexterity to operate a keyboard; good speaking and hearing abilities for communication.
