Senior Mammography Technologist

Providence The position performs a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting, either fixed or mobile. Responsible for producing high quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA, either as designated Quality Control technologist under their direction. Depending on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams, bone densitometry (DEXA), or breast-related special procedures in conjunction with physician staff. Responsibilities
Perform a variety of radiological procedures specific to breast disease. Produce high quality radiographic images while providing compassionate patient interaction. Perform required MQSA and FDA quality control activities as designated. Utilize general radiography skills for diagnostic radiology exams as needed (location dependent). Possibly perform bone densitometry (DEXA) or breast-related special procedures. Required Qualifications
Formal radiologic technology training program meeting the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - ARRT. Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography. Preferred Qualifications
