Independent Contractor (1099) Responsibilities :

Provide full spectrum Family Medicine care, including outpatient clinical and procedural services, focusing on patient-centered evidence-based outcomes. Collaborate with staff and other clinical departments to facilitate excellent patient care and participate as a member of the 99 MDG medical staff. Perform routine general family medicine care, including preventive medicine, acute and chronic conditions, musculoskeletal issues, pediatrics, and women's health. Complete medical records documentation within 72 business hours of patient encounters. Attend and participate in meetings, professional conferences, and other activities such as quality improvement and commander's staff meetings. Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems. Ensure proper coding of procedures and treatments, maintaining at least 90% accuracy (CPT/E&M/procedure). Familiarize with DoD, Federal, State, and non-profit healthcare systems, including TRICARE, Medicare, Medicaid, and VA systems. Provide ongoing education, health counseling, and develop health maintenance plans tailored to individual needs. Mentor and train medical residents, physician assistant students, medical students, and other health disciplines through clinical rotations and discussions. Perform administrative duties such as maintaining statistical records, participating in education programs, and quality improvement functions. See new and follow-up patients, participate in telehealth and virtual encounters, and respond to consults and secure messages per AFIs and policies. Maintain productivity comparable to MGMA standards for the same scope of practice. Stay informed of TRICARE standards, disease management, and healthcare trends. Ensure safety and infection control, recognizing and correcting hazards. Develop and implement long-term management strategies, providing clinical and administrative leadership. Coordinate patient care with community agencies and social programs to ensure continuity of care.
