We are looking for a Market VP Quality for our North Carolina Division where excellence creates excellence. This position is incentive eligible. Responsibilities

Responsible for managing and coordinating quality and risk initiatives, Medical Staff Services, and Patient Safety, to support the market strategic plan and goals and meet HCA quality objectives and standards. Coordinate activities in: Clinical excellence and patient safety; Process improvement and outcomes management; Regulatory readiness; Patient Experience; Risk Management; Infection Prevention; Environmental Safety. Coordinate work closely with the HCA Clinical Services Group, the Market Chief Medical Officer, Performance Improvement, and the Director of Case Management; ensure facility compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, licensure, and other standards, rules and regulations. Lead the continuing development of the clinical quality infrastructure across the division and standardize targeted process improvement initiatives; evaluate success with pre-established criteria. Support facility responses to Serious Patient Adverse Events (SPAE) and lead proactive patient safety activities to foster high reliability across hospitals. Interface with HCA resources to leverage corporate programs, tools, and methodologies for the benefit of division hospitals. Collaborate with hospital quality, risk, safety, and infection prevention leaders to achieve top rankings in national/state data initiatives. Work with the Market CMO and Data Analyst to support data analysis, reporting, and outcomes improvement; contribute to division quality reporting methods and dashboards. Monitor and evaluate quality outcomes across the division, identify trends, and prioritize opportunities for improvement; ensure data is reported to approved third parties (e.g., Leapfrog, VON, NHSN, NCDR & STS databases). Facilitate and/or lead clinical process improvement teams as needed to achieve quality goals. Serve as a regulatory resource regarding state and federal regulations and standards (CMS, Joint Commission, CDC, California and Nevada laws). Stay current with NQF, AHRQ, Leapfrog, IHI, and other quality initiatives; promote professional development within the division. Qualifications

Required Onsite:

Based in Asheville, North Carolina at Mission Hospital; relocation may be required if not local to Asheville, NC. Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Preferred Education:

Master’s degree - MHA, MBA, MSN, or related field. Required Experience:

5+ years in clinical quality and improvement. Preferred Experience:

Previous management experience; experience in a multi-facility environment. Preferred Licenses, Certifications, Training:

Clinical licensure (preferably RN); Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships, building trust by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations. Ability to facilitate group and team process improvement. Ability to work with all levels of management, clinical and IT&S staff. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Initiative and ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities. Strong leadership, creativity, and communication skills (written and verbal) tailored to diverse audiences. Working knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations. Additional Information
