SUMMARY
The National Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing customer relationships in support of the growth of the Mortgage Warehouse Lending portfolio. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develops new business relationships and a strong referral system within the assigned market, resulting in significant growth of the portfolio and the Bank's market share in the Mortgage Warehouse Lending arena. Collects and analyzes information that reflects the current creditworthiness of customers and the merits of mortgage loans they produce. Functions as a primary point of contact for new Mortgage Warehouse Lending relationships. Provides excellent customer service at all points of contact. Participates in the negotiation of pricing and credit terms. Participates in due diligence and pre-screening. Ensure that applications pre-qualify with all MWL program requirements. Participates in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities. Keeps abreast of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative events and climates which could have an impact on corporate and commercial lending activities. Adheres to and complies with applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act, etc.). Adheres to Bank policies and procedures and completes required training. Identifies and reports suspicious activity. EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Finance or Accounting required. Alternate combination of education and experience. EXPERIENCE
5+ years' experience in warehouse lending business development required Candidates residing in locations within BankUnited's footprint may be given preference KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must have credit training and the ability to interpret financial statements, develop term sheets, and make underwriting recommendations
