Position: Permanent Senior Substation Project Manager Location: Chicago, IL (remote/work from home options available) Responsibilities Manage and oversee all aspects of the substation project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, risks, and issues. Use AutoCAD to create and review project designs and plans. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues with mitigation strategies. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management role in the engineering industry, focusing on substation projects. Proven experience in managing large-scale, complex projects from concept to completion. Proficient in AutoCAD and other relevant software. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address risks and issues. Experience managing project budgets and schedules.
