Audax is looking for a dynamic, motivated Data Engineer Co-Op to join the business solutions team. This position will be responsible for supporting the company’s Senior Data Engineer with hands-on experience in data engineering, data governance, and data management. You will collaborate with the data team to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ensure data quality and integrity, and contribute to the expansion of the company's data warehouse. Responsibilities
Designing, implementing, maintaining and scaling Audax’s data ecosystem. Work with professionals to scale their data infrastructure within the company’s cloud enterprise data warehouse. Play an integral role in designing ETL processes and analytic pipelines for investment professionals. Assist with implementation of data governance policies, including data cataloging and data lineage. Provide data validation and data quality assessments. Identify and resolve data anomalies. Proficient in SQL and Python required. Familiarity in Java a plus. Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based databases. Experience designing and implementing optimal data schemas. Knowledge of/Experience with implementing best practices in data governance. Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or another related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Previous Co-Op or full-time experience in related field is a plus. Experience taking large data sets, and cleaning/distilling these datasets. Experience with Python is a plus. Experience with Alteryx and its advanced capabilities a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Ability to interact in an efficient and meaningful way with all levels of the organization required. Location:
Boston, MA. Hybrid, in the office 3 days/week. These in-office requirements may be adjusted based on the needs of the business. Dates:
