Our financial services client is seeking a Marketing Technology Consultant to evaluate, optimize, and align our martech ecosystem with business and marketing goals. This talent will perform a comprehensive audit of our current marketing technology stack, assess integrations, and deliver a strategic roadmap for implementation, consolidation, and long-term scalability. This engagement is scoped as a short-term contract with high visibility, but has the potential to evolve into a full-time Marketing Operations role, expanding responsibility into web operations, martech governance, and digital enablement.
Key Responsibilities
Tech Stack Audit & Analysis
Conduct a full audit of the current marketing technology stack, including automation, CRM, analytics, personalization, asset management, and compliance platforms. Assess integrations, redundancies, gaps, and opportunities across systems. Document workflows, user adoption, and technical debt.
Recommendations & Roadmap
Deliver a strategic set of recommendations for optimization, consolidation, and future-state martech architecture. Align recommendations with business objectives: first-party data, personalization, lead generation, and marketing efficiency. Partner with stakeholders (Marketing, IT, Compliance, Finance) to validate approach and secure alignment.
Implementation Support
Provide hands-on guidance for tool selection, vendor evaluation, and integration planning. Define governance frameworks for usage, adoption, and security compliance. Support quick wins while outlining long-term strategy.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in marketing technology, digital strategy, or marketing operations. Proven track record conducting martech audits and delivering architecture roadmaps. Hands-on expertise with enterprise martech platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, Adobe, Snappy Kraken, OneTrust, Bynder, etc.). Strong understanding of CRM, automation, analytics, and data governance best practices. Ability to translate technical assessments into clear business recommendations. Consulting or agency background preferred. Martech Audit Report: Current-state documentation of systems, integrations, and processes. Strategic Roadmap: Recommendations for short-term optimizations and long-term martech architecture. Implementation Guidance & Execution: Framework for prioritization, vendor management. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55 to $60. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. About Aquent Talent
