Lead a team of 6 to 8 software engineers building the next generation of a cloud-native Digital Service platform. Partner with Digital Services & Engineering teams, Product Management, UX Development, Cloud Engineering, Architecture, Security, and business stakeholders to create product roadmaps and release schedules. Oversee the development of data pipelines, data products and services; manage stakeholder communication; mentor team members and help resolve issues. Break down complex problems into workable chunks, use iterative development, and leverage software architecture design patterns. Drive Agile software engineering practices and ceremonies, including grooming, planning, and retrospectives. Advance the development of engineering standards and iteratively deliver engineering rigor. Provide personnel administration for squad members, including hiring, setting and monitoring annual performance plans, coaching, motivating, rewarding, and guiding career development. What you will bring

Demonstrated technical leadership with a delivery mindset, mentorship, collaboration, strong communication, and solid organizational skills. Experience delivering complex initiatives and processing dense agronomic production datasets; improvements to reduce latencies in services and processes. Adaptive, decisive, and results-oriented in fast-paced environments with many unknowns or dependencies. Minimum 10 years of software development experience with strong coding and feature delivery. Minimum 5 years building and maintaining scalable, performant, and fault-tolerant data processing pipelines on any Cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP). Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership role delivering services used by internal and external stakeholders (Engineering groups, Analytics, Digital Products, Innovation groups, etc.). Experience in code refactoring, design patterns, design-driven development, and application security; strong software architecture instincts. Familiarity with TypeScript, Python, REST APIs, JavaScript, NodeJS. Minimum 4 years of experience in the Agronomic Domain or AgTech. Strong Extreme Programming / Agile framework experience. Preferred Skill: AWS Cloud Solutions Associate or higher. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role in Loveland, CO is $127,500–$218,600 and in Deerfield, IL is $121,500–$208,200. This range is general guidance; actual compensation depends on factors such as skill set, experience, location, and business needs. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability coverage for eligible roles; retirement with employer matching; paid vacation, sick days, holidays, personal and parental leaves; and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. Details shared during the application process. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for the annual incentive plan where applicable.
