Overview
Xbox Game Studios is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to join the Studios Quality organization in a role focused on compliance, platforms, and accessibility. This role will manage an established group of experienced Quality Engineers, supporting their career growth and making strategic decisions to increase impact in support of our partners. The team is recently combined, and this role will help refine engagement model and shape for the team going forward, across the first-party portfolio and evolving domains. As a member of the greater Studios Quality team, this role will be part of a community of Quality Engineers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Product Managers focused on quality solutions for world-class products across Xbox Game Studios. It will partner closely with functional experts across the gaming organization, game teams in our first party studios, and project-based teams within Studios Quality.

Responsibilities
Mentor and coach the members of an international team, empowering them to grow and advance in their careers
Leverage the experience and deep knowledge of the team to support our partners, also working to grow a personal knowledge base in the team’s owned domains
Maintain awareness of the broad portfolio and concurrent workstreams, guiding prioritization and ensuring expected coverage and support for all releases
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the capabilities of the team, including staying up to date on policies and procedures
Manage comprehensive, consumable, and actionable reporting alongside robust tracking of all work to meet internal requirements
Contribute to the overall Studios Quality team, sharing learnings, collaborating with peers, and guiding the organization in areas of the team’s ownership
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years software industry experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years software industry experience
2 years experience with people management and career mentorship
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance
Proficiency or interest in accessibility, compliance, and multiple platforms
Experience with multiple concurrent workstreams and/or products
Experience with game development or other entertainment fields
Familiarity with task management and reporting software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Power BI)
Software Quality Engineering M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
