Oct 22, 2025 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time Description The School of Nursing at Stony Brook University invites/seeks applications for one part-time, calendar year faculty position to support research implementation such as, but not limited to, data management and analysis, software, IRB protocols, literature review, and citation management. The incumbent should be detail-oriented and possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective leadership skills to proactively address issues in setting project timelines. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate excellent organization and computer skills, specifically using MS Office and the Google Suite. Flexibility and the ability to work as part of the School of Nursing Office of Research team is critical. Research Implementation: Coordinate with faculty and biostatisticians on the timely production of statistical reports Track research project deliverables and other research activities Data Management responsibilities Maintenance of REDCap Data Platform Enter research data, as needed Validate participant research data and assure fidelity of data collection procedures Update study data in clinical trials.gov Assist with maintenance of other study databases including data server, as needed Assist other faculty with preparation, submission and maintenance of IRB protocols and other regulatory documents Assist with manuscript and abstract preparation Maintain confidentiality of participants and storage of confidential data Interact with any stakeholders, community, and/or hospital providers/co coordinators Act as a liaison with stakeholders and or other executives Perform other related tasks as required Rank and salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in a behavioral or social science field or nursing Experience in the collection of data and in the management and analysis of data Experience following clinical research and study operating procedures specifically related to nursing research Experience and knowledge with informed consent procedures specifically related to nursing research Experience creating and using databases including REDCap and statistical software programs specifically related to nursing research Experience using WebEx, Zoom, and other videoconferencing platforms specifically related to nursing research Experience with preparing data for research submissions (NIH progress reports, IRB reports), publication(s), specifically related to nursing research Experience with manuscript/abstract preparation specifically related to nursing research Experience in citation management platforms (Zotero, EndNote) Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with nursing research Application Instructions To apply, visit the application site.
