We are seeking a candidate to join our R&D (Research and Development) group, focusing on the development and creation of mapping solutions for risk assessment related to natural catastrophes and climate change impacts.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

Perform data mining and in-depth reviews of research literature, data, and models.

Collect, analyze and visualize data, using geospatial, statistical as well as other analytical methods.

Develop and maintain interactive maps and spatial databases for natural disaster risk assessment (floods, hurricanes, wildfires, earthquakes, etc.).

This six-month co-op will challenge you with real-world projects and hands-on training, all while being mentored by leaders and experts in risk management R&D.

Qualifications

You are an undergraduate or graduate student in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering working towards a degree with a strong academic record and a cumulative 3.0 GPA preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You are detail-oriented and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Course work or experience in geospatial analytics and working with GIS applications (e.g., ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, or QGIS).

Course work or experience in programming languages (Python or R).

You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

You possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

You must be available to work full-time from January - July 2026.

You must have permanent work authorization in the United States.
