Overview
Job Title/Dept.: Specialist, Production Control Functional Title: CKD Analyst Org Unit: CKD Reports to: Assistant Manager S-Div/Division: Production Support Cost Center: K6300 Supporting the development and implementation of various systems and standardized work processes, while ensuring the accuracy, is an essential part of the CKD (Complete Knock Down) Parts Analyst position, as well as training and support of the material management team. Responsibilities
Support development, testing, and implementation of SAP MM module inventory management system. Assist with the development of standardized work process for utilizing SAP MM module inventory management system. Monitor system and process to validate master data in SAP and ensure the accuracy of part calculations. Minimize on-hand inventory and maximize Glovis logistics and material handling efficiency for JIT suppliers through continuous improvement efforts. Manage CKD or North America parts package, establishing open communication with supply base. Support workshops with the Consolidation Center as required supporting start-up, as well as mass production and model change operations. Support coordination and implementation of engineering changes. Ensure the accurate and on time creation of CKD part Purchase Orders. Optimize the inbound deliveries for external transportation and internal part conveyance optimization through continuous improvement. Confirm cycle count results and reconcile inventory discrepancies found during the cycle count process. Work with cross-functional teams to identify root cause and implement effective countermeasures to issues affecting inventory usage and variances. Oversee the delivery of expedite parts due to part shortage so that no line impact occurs. Drive root cause and countermeasure plans for BOM, inventory, or master data discrepancies and monitor effectiveness using PDCA planning cycle. Minimize Mass Production E&O with emphasis on controlling inventory obsolescence. Manage the model year changes with emphasis on phase out part obsolescence and ensuring part availability of the new model year parts. Monitor the effectiveness of Glovis supply by monitoring KPI metrics and providing frequent feedback, especially of non-conformities, elevating issues/barriers that cannot be removed. Support periodic reviews of ordering policy and development of new processes to improve order to receipt lead time as well as daily function efficiency improvements. Qualifications & Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field along with two (2) to five (5) years of progressive experience in the Production Control field in a manufacturing environment preferably within the automotive industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in automotive materials management/inventory control or related experience is a plus. Maintain flexibility to support production operations including weekends and staggered shifts. Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in both exercising company decisions and carrying out essential job duties that affect efficient business operations and its objectives, policies, practices, and conditions.
