Role overview Assist corporate clients to address strategic accounting and financial reporting challenges. Provide financial accounting, audit, and advisory services to corporate clients, helping them address complex accounting and reporting issues. Examine and analyze financial records to prepare financial reports and translate complex accounting and reporting issues into solutions for accounting, reporting, governance and transactions in areas such as GAAP conversion, commodities and hedging. Advise clients on business, operational and financial matters related to M&A activity, IPOs and regulatory/compliance matters, including considerations such as government ownership, regulator intervention, IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards, and conversions from local GAAP to IFRS. Responsibilities Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver high-quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks; cultivate business development opportunities. Support engagements involving GAAP conversions, commodities and hedging; assist with design and implementation of finance function transformations and quarterly reporting. Work schedule Full-time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Law, Management or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience. Alternatively, Master’s degree in related field and 4 years of work experience. 2 years of recent experience in one of the following: Providing financial accounting and advisory services (including implementing accounting standards, finance function transformation, quarterly reporting, due diligence); OR Working on GAAP conversions (including IFRS) with large multinational clients. 2 years of recent experience in planning, execution and reporting of audits for financial statements prepared under U.S. GAAS and U.S. GAAP; OR 2 years of recent experience in providing financial reporting accounting services. 2 years of recent experience supervising accounting and advisory services teams (two or more staff). 2 years of recent experience with SEC financial reporting. Active US CPA certification, or foreign certificate with sufficient coursework/experience as determined by the state Board of Accountancy to obtain US CPA certification. Willingness to travel up to 60% on short notice, of which up to 10% may be international. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Compensation and benefits The base salary for this position is $133,120 per year, with a Total Rewards package including medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off. EY supports a team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model, with in-person collaboration 40-60% of the time on engagements.
