By The Bay Health, a non-profit established in 1975, set the standard for hospice in the U.S. by emphasizing the role of the patient in making important medical decisions. Our spectrum of home-based services now includes Skilled Home Health Care, Palliative Care, Adult Hospice Care and Pediatric Care. is responsible as a member of the interdisciplinary team for providing spiritual and supportive services to the pediatric team and to patients and their families in accordance with the patient/family desires and belief system. Bi-lingual in Spanish a huge plus!! Schedule:

Provide spiritual/pastoral services when indicated and appropriate as soon as possible after admission Complete a chaplain’s spiritual assessment for patients requesting spiritual care Provide pastoral/spiritual counseling for patient/family in accordance with patient/family wishes, needs, and applicable traditions, including bereavement follow up with family as appropriate Provide age- and developmentally appropriate assessment and support to patient and siblings as indicated Education/Experience
Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology or equivalent education in a related field Masters of Divinity preferred Minimum of two years’ experience providing spiritual support services to pediatric patients and their families, preferably in a health care setting, or equivalent experience in chaplaincy or pastoral counseling Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Appropriate ordination or certification in hospital or pastoral Pediatric ELNEC certification preferred within the first year of employment Equal Employment Opportunity
