We’re looking for a Corporate Paralegal to join our small but mighty legal team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated early-career professional with some experience in corporate law, venture capital, private equity or adjacent fields to gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of VC transactions, fund operations and portfolio management. You’ll work side-by-side with our General Counsel and Director of Legal Operations, while also interacting regularly with portfolio companies, founders, investors and outside counsel. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy and thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and collaborative environment — knowing when to take initiative and when to ask the right questions. This position follows a hybrid work schedule with designated in-office days (San Francisco or Las Vegas) and occasional travel. What You’ll Do
Assist with key functions for private equity and credit investments including managing drafts, obtaining signatures, compiling and saving final documents, making UCC filings and updating investment tracking systems. Provide support throughout the fund lifecycle – forming new funds, processing subscription books and side letters for fund closings, communicating with investors and other ongoing fund administration tasks. Collaborate across teams to help scale portfolio administration and document management systems. Coordinate with outside counsel, counterparties and investors to keep things moving smoothly and on time. Tackle other projects that come with being part of a versatile legal team at a dynamic venture capital firm. What We’re Looking For
1-3 years as a paralegal in a law firm, investment firm or related environment with exposure to corporate transactions, private funds, M&A or commercial finance, but we welcome candidates with exposure to other legal or financial work if you’re eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple shifting priorities. Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal — and the ability to interact professionally with senior executives, investors and founders. Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems quickly. Resilient and adaptable with a positive, no-task-to-small attitude. Capable of taking direction in a task-based work environment while also spearheading new initiatives. Experience with the following would be extremely helpful, but we’re willing to train a candidate with the right mindset to fill in any gaps – Entity formation and management, SEC filings, UCC filings and searches, tracking deadlines and calendaring reminders, preparing redlines, reviewing and managing NDAs, Carta, Shareworks, Passthrough, SingleFile, virtual data rooms, DropboxSign, Slack Why Join Us
