Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for EHS Leader. An international leader in the manufacture of residential and commercial building materials located in a Kansas City industrial district has an urgent need for an experienced EHS Leader at their key Kansas City, Kansas area manufacturing facility. The EHS Leader’s primary responsibility is plant-wide and will provide support across other plants and the broader business as needed. The position will lead the safety and environmental functions at assigned sites with a focus on safety— including implementation of critical processes, programs, and procedures to achieve goals and objectives. This role offers outstanding compensation includes a base salary, extensive bonus structure, industry leading benefits, and relocation assistance if needed. Tremendous growth potential at regional, national, and international locations. Location: Northeast Kansas City area, near the Kansas Speedway and KC amenities.

Responsibilities
The EHS Leader will: Lead the safety and environmental functions at assigned sites with a focus on safety and compliance. Implement critical processes, programs, and procedures to achieve safety and operating objectives. Act as the plant-wide safety culture lead and provide information and guidance for site-wide activities. Support safety initiatives across other plants and the broader business as needed.
Ideal Experience and Qualifications
5-10 years of EHS Leadership experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related discipline. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) qualification preferred. Experience dealing with safety hazards including rotating equipment, Title V air permits, machine guards, and specialized equipment issues. Experience with ERP/SharePoint reports; knowledge of these systems is ideal. Ability to act as the subject matter expert in the plant and build capability to ensure a plant-wide safety culture.
