You will design, develop, and help patent the next generation of cellular and eSIM technologies, driving advancements that connect users to the devices they rely on. You will collaborate across departments to create wireless solutions that elevate the customer experience with Apple products, ensuring our technologies integrate effortlessly into the lives of users. Our team has delivered eSIM features on iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, and we are continually refining these technologies to enrich people’s lives.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced eSIM, cellular, and telephony features for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Collaborate with Apple's design studio to create intuitive user interfaces. Oversee the full software lifecycle from concept to deployment. Work with cellular carriers, security, privacy, hardware, and qualification teams to optimize protocols and user interfaces for eSIM and telephony solutions. Patents: contribute to protecting Apple intellectual property.

Qualifications

Minimum: Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Wireless Communications or equivalent majors. Preferred: Prior experience in Cellular/eSIM/Telephony/WiFi technology, especially on Apple platforms. Passionate, curious, and innovative problem-solver with a focus on robust, secure software systems. Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal skills.

Pay & Benefits

Base pay range for this role: $120,300 – $210,100, determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Eligibility for Apple shareholder programs, discretionary stock units, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounted products and services, and education reimbursement where applicable. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or relocation assistance; terms subject to plan eligibility.
