The Role A Sales Executive (SE) is an in-market sales role at Beam Benefits. You will establish and expand partnerships with brokerages within your territory, focusing on building and nurturing lasting relationships to saturate the market with Beam’s presence. You will work with brokerages that align with Beam’s Ideal Broker Profile.
You may also support Beam’s national broker partners and general agency partnerships, ensuring alignment and maximizing Beam’s value across all channels.
You will use a variety of tactics (e.g., cold calling, email campaigns, web conferencing, and in-person networking) to educate brokers on Beam’s differentiators, deliver value, and expand Beam’s presence. You will attend events and networking opportunities to deepen relationships.
Your success lies in developing a balanced approach—prioritizing high-quality interactions while driving volume through new proposals to win clients. You will drive repeat business and create long-term strategic partnerships to contribute to Beam’s growth.

Your Experience
3+ years of B2B sales in a high-volume role; channel sales experience with brokers or general agencies preferred.
Experience in the insurance industry, ideally in dental, vision, life, disability, or supplemental health products.
Ability to generate and analyze reports to optimize sales performance and broker experiences.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn new ancillary product lines and adapt to dynamic sales processes.
Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus; medical sales/insurance/brokerage experience is not required but preferred.
Requirement to secure Life & Health license within 60 days of start date; Beam will support licensing costs.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time within the assigned territory.
Training and Development
Comprehensive onboarding with ongoing coaching and resources for growth.
Develop into a nimble sales researcher, proficient at discovery and multi-threading in complex sales processes.
Master industry-specific communication and sales techniques to identify broker needs and close deals.
Gain expertise in Beam’s internal tools and Salesforce to manage the pipeline efficiently.
Beam covers the cost to obtain the Life & Health license.
Compensation and Benefits Beam offers a competitive base salary with a variable compensation structure. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company matching, flexible time off, and participation in the equity program. The base pay range is $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year; first-year total target compensation may include commission, for a combined target of $130,000 - $160,000 depending on the role and performance.

The actual base pay offered will consider internal equity, budget, and candidate qualifications. This range does not include benefits, bonuses, or other incentives.
