Trade Compliance Engineer and Analyst

Overview
This entry level position ensures compliance with applicable U.S. export and import control laws, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC sanctions, and regional/local regulations concerning the movement of goods and services across borders. The role acts as a liaison among internal groups across Arrow businesses and may interface with government licensing offices to ensure proper adherence to trade management and trade control laws and regulations. Trade Compliance Engineer and Analyst What You 1ll Be Doing
Review part specification sheets, related product documentation, and the Export Administration Regulations to determine Export Classification Code Numbers (ECCN) and local country export classifications for items sold. Collect, review and approve Customer End Use and Export Compliance Certifications (EUC). Assess End Use Statements by evaluating identified components for the described customer use when procuring products. Determine and assign local export/import country and U.S. license requirements for orders on hold within trade compliance software; escalate to department leader for guidance when necessary. Process global supply chain partner reviews, including government restricted/denied party list checks, to decide on partner release or block within trade compliance software. Review and act on red flag-related exception reports and conduct due diligence for partners or transactions to resolve potential red flags when needed. Prepare and submit government license applications (low- and high-complexity) as required; process licenses following local regulations, including reporting, record keeping, etc. Provide import and export clearance support for inbound and outbound shipments when required. What We Are Looking For
Experience / Education
Requires a four-year degree, with a major or minor in engineering from an accredited school (electrical engineering degree highly preferred). Ability to read specification sheets and engineering drawings. Ability to analyze technical parameters in specification sheets and other required documents and regulations. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and Access. Qualifications
Strong technical understanding of electronic components. Curious: eager to learn and asks questions. Driving results with a solutions- and results-oriented approach and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Confident: able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced industry and adapt to change. Collaborative: able to build relationships and influence across the company and with external partners.
