Responsibilities
As a GNC Engineer, you will join the GN&C team on the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program. In this role, you will be involved in many of the following activities:
Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to modeling and simulation
Integrate Matlab/Simulink models into a 6-DOF C++ simulation
Develop high fidelity models and simulation software
Build new source code in C++ and Python
Modify code in C++, C, Matlab, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAML
Create unit tests
Execute simulation software on a high performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMs
Work in an Agile DevOps environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment
Collaborate with the performance analysts, Flight Software team, and customer

Basic Qualifications
Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related STEM field
Algorithm development experience
C/C++ and/or Matlab programming experience
Must have Final Secret Clearance to start
Desired Skills
Familiarity with software development, Agility
Distributed/parallel processing
Familiarity or experience with missile development or fire control
Cameo or Unified Modeling Language (UML)
CI/CD pipeline experience
Experience with generated code or autocode
Possess a Secret clearance
Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $79,700 - $140,530. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This is a general guideline; offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education/training, key skills, market and business conditions.
