The Analyst/Associate, Equity Asset Management will own and drive the development, maintenance, updating and analysis of various comprehensive financial models and supporting analysis. Prepare requested financial reports for select divisions and/or business entities and assist in special projects as directed. This position will assist in strategic planning for business units and funds. Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, update and analyze comprehensive financial models, integrating historical, current and proforma information; work with various levels of the organization to identify and address business issues through models and presentations, and prepare for ad hoc and regular meetings Develop a comprehensive understanding of the various business drivers of our industry and apply the knowledge in developing, maintaining and analyzing financial models Maintain valuation models for select divisions and/or entities on a quarterly basis Master existing company technology and assist in identifying, evaluating and implementing new technology tools to enhance modeling, analysis and reporting of financial information Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages for select divisions and/or entities Prepare and coordinate components of the annual budget process for designated entities Participate in the quarterly forecasting and acquisition processes as requested and update models as necessary Special projects Coordinate the reconciliation of various subsidiary entities into master models Participate in as-needed asset management meetings Participate in as-needed financial meetings and conference calls Perform any additional duties or tasks as assigned Consistently demonstrate use of tact and discretion Knowledge and Experience
At least 2-3 years real estate financial analysis experience, multifamily Experience in building complex business models using Excel or Excel-based tools Ability to present thoughts, content, and conclusions to senior stakeholders Ability to produce excellent quality work that is thorough, accurate, complete, consistent, and able to get information when requested Works independently and with others; has complete ownership of work and projects Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills Aptitude for organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple priorities, using critical thinking and problem solving Demonstrated multi-modal communication style that reaches every stakeholder, specifically excellent verbal and written communications Collaborative working style with inclusive work and thinking behaviors, commitment to excellence in teams and work product, with a strong work ethic Proficiency and willingness to adopt new systems and processes Demonstrate emotional intelligence in high pressure and sensitive situations Ability to see, analyze and understand business dealings in terms of the overall business plan Tenacity, patience, and perseverance to work with business deals from beginning to end of process Represent the Berkshire employment brand well to candidates by seeking to understand the capabilities and insights of people with diverse backgrounds, cultures, styles, and abilities Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and communications Develop productive working relationships with all team members including internal clients and external third parties Demonstrated high level of ethics and integrity with a straightforward and honest approach Technical/Educational Requirements
