University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston, Texas

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Neurology Department invites applications for a Fellowship-trained Neuro-Oncologist who will play an important role in the growth of our Neuro-Oncology program. The department emphasizes comprehensive care for patients with neurologic illnesses and supports a robust research program focused on neurodegenerative disorders. UTMB maintains a fully ACGME-accredited neurology residency and several fellowship programs.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical care to patients with brain and spine tumors as part of a collaborative team that includes general oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, neurointerventional radiologists, and other specialists.

Participate in the multidisciplinary team of nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, and other caregivers to support patient care.

Engage in teaching and mentorship for medical students, residents, and fellows.

Contribute to research and scholarly activities within neuro-oncology and related fields.

Qualifications

M.D. or D.O. degree.

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurology.

Completion of Neuro-Oncology Fellowship.

Strong commitment to patient care, medical student/resident/fellow education.

Participation in research and scholarly activities.

U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.

Ability to obtain an unrestricted Texas Medical License.
