Duties and Responsibilities After School Program Lead:

Assist with weekly program schedule

Coordinate activities with other ASP Attendants

Provide administrative support to the Education Manager

Prepare weekly classroom lists

Prepare daily sign-in sheet & keep emergency contact and student information reports

Assist the Education Manager in supervising and providing direct support

Register students for ASP and assist in ringing up monthly ASP sales

Record and report stats

Maintain student records

Provide leadership in at least one classroom and at least one ongoing elective

Assist in mediating student conflicts

Attend and lead a portion of weekly ASP staff meetings

Assist in purchasing and organizing ASP snacks

Assist in obtaining and purchasing all supplies and materials needed for education programs

Assist with After School Program and Literacy Library

Escort After School Program children from the pick-up locations to the Kroc Center

Tutor children and assist with homework

Design and implement recreational and enrichment activities

Assist programs that are part of the After School Program curriculum

Actively seek professional development and resources to further support youth and families

Enforce program rules and policies

Ensure that all children are properly signed in and out

Other related duties as required

Day Camp Lead Counselor:

Assist in all Day Camp Operations

Assist in Driving to field trips

Assist in check-In & check-Out procedures

Meet with Day Camp Counselors to review weekly assignments

Attend DCYF training and assist in meal distribution

Assist in record keeping for DCYF

Maintain food handler certification and food safety standards

Assist with maintaining records, stats, and files

Responsible for leading a group of children assigned to you for each session

After any organized activity, make sure all equipment and/or supplies are properly stored

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

21 years of age (required)

Experience working in an after-school program (1 year preferred)

Experience working as a supervisor (preferred)

Experience with POS (point of sales) (preferred)

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to lead

Team Player

Great communication skills

Detail oriented

Equipment Used:

Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)
