Overview
The
Senior Manager, HRBP
is a key HR leader and trusted advisor responsible for supporting business leaders in driving talent strategies, organizational effectiveness, and employee engagement. This role partners with functional leaders across North America to implement HR initiatives that align with Novocure’s business goals and values. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, North America, the Sr. Manager, HRBP plays a hands-on role in workforce planning, change management, and leadership development, while collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver high-impact programs and solutions. This full-time, exempt role is based in our Portsmouth, NH office.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership: Partner with functional leaders to support organizational design, workforce planning, and team effectiveness; provide guidance on talent priorities to align people strategies with business needs; support the implementation of HR programs that foster scalability, innovation, and employee engagement.
Organizational Effectiveness & Change Enablement: Contribute to organizational design efforts and support change initiatives that improve team agility and performance; act as a change champion helping leaders and teams navigate transitions and adopt new ways of working; facilitate discussions on structure and capability needs to support evolving business priorities.
Leadership & Talent Development: Support succession planning and leadership development for mid-level and emerging leaders; partner with Learning & Development to deliver targeted development programs and performance management processes; promote a culture of feedback, accountability, and continuous improvement; collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement programs in Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, DE&I, and Learning & Development; ensure business needs are represented in enterprise HR initiatives and policies; provide input on regional HR planning and cross-functional collaboration.
Employee Relations & Compliance: Manage employee relations matters, including investigations and policy interpretation, in partnership with Legal and Compliance; ensure adherence to employment laws and internal policies while fostering a fair and inclusive workplace.
Operational Excellence: Use HR data and analytics to support decision-making and identify trends; ensure accuracy and compliance in HR processes, systems, and reporting; drive process improvements and contribute to HR operational effectiveness.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
8+ years of progressive HR experience, including 4+ years as an HRBP supporting business leaders.
Experience supporting organizational change and talent development initiatives.
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships across levels.
Solid understanding of core HR disciplines including performance management, employee relations, and talent development.
Experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharma is a plus.
Leadership Competencies

Effective communicator and coach with a collaborative approach.
Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
