Sr Mgr Data Architecture and Engineering Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking a seasoned data engineer to join the Insights, Strategy and Analytics data analytics organization as Senior Manager of Data Architecture and Engineering. The ISA team focuses on enhancing analytical capabilities and infrastructure for internal stakeholders across television production, distribution, and marketing. The Senior Manager defines and leads the technical strategy and developer experience of Sony Pictures Television's data management team, oversees data pipelines, mentors a team of data engineers, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver analytics products and data insights. Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership: Oversee the development and optimization of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure. Team Management: Foster a high-performance data engineering culture emphasizing standards, automation and reusability. Team Development: Create a safe, fail-fast environment that values technical innovation and skills development. Architecture: Design robust ELT pipelines, data models, and operational processes; ensure data quality and accuracy. Technical Planning: Manage multiple concurrent, fast-paced projects; size and prioritize data engineering workstreams; identify risks and resource gaps; breakdown work into actionable tasks. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build a strong developer culture across ISA tech teams; mentor junior engineers and reduce silos. Project Delivery: Contribute as a senior data engineer on projects; set standards and best practices; delegate to maximize team output. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related fields; advanced degrees are a plus. Experience: 10+ years in data engineering or technical leadership roles; preferably in media/entertainment. Technical Acumen: Proficiency in data engineering, analytics tools, and methodologies. Skills: Expert SQL & Python; deep knowledge of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake preferred); hands-on with orchestration tools (Airflow); familiarity with software engineering best practices; ability to create ERDs, architectural diagrams, and technical specs. Leadership: Proven track record developing data products and leading diverse technical teams; ability to translate business needs into technical design; experience coaching junior engineers; strong agile project management. AI Literacy: Knowledge of transformational trends in data engineering and agentic AI tools. Preferred Qualifications

Industry Experience: Media/entertainment experience is a plus but not required. Strategic Mindset and Problem Solving; attention to detail. Collaborative Team Builder: Experience in diverse, multicultural, international environments. Continuous Learner: Commitment to ongoing learning and innovation. Presentation Skills: Ability to communicate with executive-level audiences. Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated base salary: $128,000 – $167,000. May qualify for annual incentive and comprehensive benefits. Final offer based on qualifications, experience, education, certifications, and location. Equal Opportunity
