The Division of Human Resources and Inclusive Excellence supports the university’s labor and employee relations program. The Labor and Employee Relations Compliance Manager (Administrator II) assists in managing the university’s labor and employee relations program for staff and/or academic employees. Responsibilities include investigating and responding to workplace misconduct and collective bargaining complaints and grievances; advising management on labor relations laws, regulations, and related policies; assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures related to collective bargaining agreements; researching and advising on employee relations issues using applicable laws, CSU and CSUF policies, and directives. Other duties as assigned. Under the general direction of the Assistant Vice President, this role requires discretion and judgment in carrying out diverse assignments and maintaining professional relationships with staff, management, and union officials. Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Three years of experience in Labor and/or Employee Relations. Strong knowledge of personnel/human resources policies and practices and demonstrated ability to apply them in a complex organization. Knowledge of principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution. Demonstrated ability to communicate information clearly and succinctly both verbally and in writing. Background check: A background check (including criminal records) is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment; the offer may be rescinded if disqualifying information is found or information is knowingly withheld or falsified. Failure to complete the background check satisfactorily may affect continued employment for a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. Public sector labor/employee relations experience in a higher education institution is preferred. CSU experience is preferred. Additional Information
