Washington, DC (Onsite) The Web Services Developer will be an integral part of our Agile/Scrum team, responsible for maintaining and enhancing Java and Spring-based web services. Responsibilities

Collaborate with customers to identify issues and develop feature requirements. Design and implement streamlined workflows for new features. Manage and update user stories and defects, and conduct necessary testing. Actively participate in daily stand-up meetings and all phases of the Scrum lifecycle. Independently create and manage tasks as the primary web service developer on the team. Contribute ideas and collaborate in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The Developer is required to be knowledgeable in Java, Spring Boot Framework, Restful Web Services, and have knowledge of MVC or MVVM and how they function. The Developer is expected to create consistent working Web Services that maximize the solution being developed, including creating skeleton mock-ups or working demos on short notice. The Developer should have fundamental knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems, experience with Java Lambda expressions, Version Control frameworks, and strategies for Continuous Integration, Development, and Testing. The Developer must have strong problem-solving abilities and be able to work independently without hourly assistance from other team members when confronted with problems. This position requires researching solutions outside the current scope of knowledge and quickly becoming fluent enough to apply them effectively to development issues. Contract Details

Coordinates IT project management, engineering, maintenance, QA, and risk management. Plans, coordinates, and monitors project activities. Develops technical applications to support users. Develops, implements, maintains, and enforces documented standards and procedures for the design, development, installation, modification, and documentation of assigned systems. Provides training for system products and procedures. Performs application upgrades. Performs monitoring, maintenance, or reporting on real-time databases, real-time network and serial data communications, and real-time graphics and logic applications. Troubleshoots problems. Ensures project lifecycle is in compliance with District standards and procedures. Qualifications

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements:

Associate’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
