Supported Employment Director
who is passionate about creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This is more than just a leadership role; it’s a chance to shape a program that empowers people to achieve independence while leading a supportive and mission-driven team.
What You’ll Do as the Supported Employment Director
Oversee all Supported Employment programming, including training, consultation, and documentation of individual support plans
Supervise, mentor, and train Supported Employment Supervisors, Specialists, and Job Coaches to ensure individualized, community-based job placements
Develop and deliver Supported Employment curriculum to maintain compliance with staff training, core competencies, and state regulations
Collaborate with program leadership and represent CAS in individual support and education planning meetings, county/state groups, and in the community
Build relationships with local businesses, vocational rehabilitation offices, and other partners to expand job opportunities
Ensure accurate billing systems, program licensing compliance, and delivery of quality service
Maintain a small caseload of job development, partnering with staff to facilitate placements as needed
Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture, recognizing contributions and addressing personnel issues appropriately
What We’re Looking for in a Supported Employment Director Required:
Bachelor’s degree in business, human services, or related field (or equivalent experience)
4+ years in workforce development, job development, or supported employment
2+ years in a leadership or management role
Program development experience
Experience working with Vocational Rehabilitation Services or workforce development entities
Ability to sit, stand, walk, drive, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. are essential
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and good driving history
Must pass a national background check
Preferred
Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules (OAR) for Supported Employment
Experience with Oregon’s Individual Support Planning (ISP) system
Experience helping people transition into community-based employment
Person-centered employment planning expertise
Contract procurement or small business development experience
