Overview
The VP, Talent Acquisition & Mobility partners closely with the Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer to set the strategy for sourcing, attracting, and selecting the talent to support the mission, vision and growth strategy of Phoenix Children’s. The VP of TA and Mobility provides the overall leadership, strategic direction and implementation of talent acquisition tactics. The leader develops long and short-term plans for talent acquisition linked to the Phoenix Children's strategic plan. Responsible for physician, provider, clinical, professional, ancillary and administrative as well as executive recruitment, the VP of TA and Mobility leads the development of the Employee Value Proposition for Phoenix Children’s. We are looking for someone with a healthcare background, preferably, who will lead the development of the strategy to support the mission, vision and growth of Phoenix Children’s and to strengthen the talent acquisition process. This leader must be agile and flexible with in depth understanding of healthcare talent trends and shortages. The leader must lead with integrity through their actions and have great communication skills. This leader will be responsible for continuing to create and design new talent acquisition ideas that will reflect the current and ongoing talent needs of the human resource department. The ideal person will have a positive attitude with the ability to support the HR team and collaborate across the organization at all levels. Responsibilities
Develops and implements strategy and direction for talent acquisition to support the mission, vison and organizational growth. Partners with SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer, and senior leaders across the system to proactively support the growth and expansion to the new locations. Leads the implementation of strategic and tactical plans through the talent acquisition team. Designs, improves, and monitors recruitment workflows to ensure processes and performance are effective and efficient. Collaborates with marketing and communications as well as advertising agencies, as needed, to develop the employee value proposition and implement employment branding, social media strategy and presence and talent acquisition internal and external website. Leads all areas of talent acquisition including sourcing, physician, provider, clinical, professional, ancillary and executive recruitment and talent acquisition operations. Identifies pipeline development opportunities and collaborations with colleges and high schools to support and foster diversity hiring. Identifies market talent trends and industry talent shortages and proactively develops strategies to support the organization. Collaborates with IT to ensure that the applicant tracking system is functioning at optimal levels to ensure a good candidate experience and reporting. Develops and monitors reports from ATS on key indicators of recruitment workload and performance or recruiters. Oversees utilization of temporary and agency staff throughout PCH to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and centralized reporting. Develops, implements, and monitors surveys of new hires and of the hiring managers to ensure excellence in service for stakeholders. Develops in conjunction with key stakeholder’s workforce plans based on organizational needs and projections. Develops and implements strategies to ensure the Talent Acquisition role emphasizes a value-added service delivery performance approach. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s in business, human resources or related field - Required Master’s degree in business or related field - Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of eight years of talent acquisition/recruitment experience in large complex organizations - Required Five years or more of leadership experience, both of high performing recruiting teams and high-performing recruiting functions. - Required Proven expertise in conceptualizing and building an in-house recruiting function in a high-volume hiring environment. - Required Health care experience. - Preferred Required Skills
Expert knowledge of talent acquisition systems, tools, and related technologies. Experience in integrating social media/digital marketing-base sourcing initiatives. Ability to consult with senior leadership about talent concerns and initiatives. Excellent interpersonal skills and savvy. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities.
