Job Summary The Apple team responsible for building Disney+ seeks a Principal Software Engineer to be an outstanding addition to our team. This role involves working on apps such as Disney+ with some of the brightest minds in streaming media. Role Location:
This is a Hybrid role requiring 4 days onsite (Monday-Thursday) in one of the following office locations: Seattle, WA
New York, NY
Santa Monica, CA
Glendale, CA
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role: Oversee development of feature-rich native iOS, tvOS and visionOS applications for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Vision Pro
Identify areas for growth within the team processes and develop new systems for collaboration
Write clear, well-tested, performant code
Lead efforts to create sustainable, well-architected, long-lasting solutions for our most challenging opportunities
Guide an agile squad participating in the full lifecycle of application development, including being the key point of contact for entire initiatives
Mentor leads and senior team members and support peers through code review and pair programming
Create opportunities to learn and teach others
Work across multiple teams to drive initiatives to success
Work with product, design, services and QA partners to define what we should build and how we should build it
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training: Expert knowledge of Swift, Apple Frameworks, and the Xcode ecosystem
Experience leading a team, including delegating responsibility and balancing competing priorities
Experience integrating with backend systems, web services, and third-party software
Hold high standards of quality for both the codebases you contribute to and the applications you build
A growth mindset towards learning, experience mentoring others, and a desire to give and receive feedback
Experience composing and presenting thoughtful and implementable solutions to a variety of stakeholders (technical and non-technical)
Experience working across multiple organizations to deliver complex solutions with many dependencies
Compensation The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA is $184,300 to $247,100 per year, in Seattle, WA is $193,100 to $258,900 per year, and in New York City, NY is $193,100 to $258,900 per year. The base pay offered will reflect internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided, in addition to medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on level and position offered.
