What You’ll Be Brewing In the role of Director IT Security, based in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the information technology team reporting to the VP IT Security & CISO. You will lead enterprise-wide security strategies that protect our digital assets and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems. You will oversee a global team with 24/7 incident response and cyber threat management across North America, EMEA, and APAC. You will champion security engineering by overseeing implementation and continuous improvement of security controls across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments, lead vulnerability management programs, and drive the evolution of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) framework. You will strengthen Operational Technology security for manufacturing and production systems and collaborate with internal IT, MSPs, and product solution owners across commercial, supply chain, and enabling functions. You will embed security into enterprise initiatives and drive the cybersecurity portfolio execution.
Responsibilities
Lead a high-performing, global security team and mentor staff through career development conversations.
Develop and execute a strategic IT security roadmap aligned with organizational goals and evolving threats.
Establish and enforce enterprise-wide information security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor adherence to security policies and identify improvements.
Design and maintain an effective incident response plan; lead investigations and coordinate corrective actions.
Drive data protection and compliance efforts, including data loss prevention and secure enablement of emerging technologies (e.g., AI).
Protect proprietary information by implementing technologies and policies to reduce data leakage.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into the system development lifecycle and design secure architectures.
Evaluate and manage third-party security vendors and negotiate security terms in contracts.
Perform regular risk and vulnerability assessments and embed secure development practices across the product lifecycle.
Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of security professionals; foster security awareness and accountability.
Serve as the technical lead for data protection, privacy, and internal investigations; partner with Legal and Compliance.
Collaborate with stakeholders to embed security into strategic initiatives and maintain a strong security posture.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Info Assurance, Cybersecurity, or related field.
At least 5+ years of experience in a senior-level information security role.
Strong knowledge of IT controls, compliance requirements, and regulatory standards.
Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent, or actively pursuing them.
Deep understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, regulations, and best practices.
Experience leading incident response, risk management, and secure architecture design.
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive security initiatives forward.
Demonstrated drive for results, adaptability, and continuous learning.
