Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities
Daytime hospitalist, 7 on/off Be part of a collaborative and comprehensive health care team 100% of patients will have a WellMed employed, contracted, or affiliated PCP Model designed to provide efficient, comprehensive, and proven care techniques to treat the whole patient – physically, mentally, and socially Quality vs. Quantity Model – typically census per hospitalist is 10 to 13 patients per day Patient panel limited to geriatrics with Medicare Advantage coverage

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $387,000 per year based on full-time employment. Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. UnitedHealth Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution. Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or M.B.B.S Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine, or currently completing an accredited residency program Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas, or ability to obtain one prior to employment Valid DEA license, or ability to obtain one prior to employment Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency Working understanding and support of a managed care environment
