Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform and a solid understanding of DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Java applications, leveraging Google Cloud Platform services, and integrating DevOps methodologies to ensure continuous delivery and robust system performance.
The Role Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level Java applications with high performance and scalability in mind.
Deploy microservices and cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform, utilizing services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, GKE, and Pub/Sub.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze system specifications, and deliver effective solutions.
Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement robust monitoring and logging solutions.
Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and incorporate innovations into current systems.
Document system architecture, APIs, and operational procedures.
Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative team environment.
Requirements
Experience: 8 years (candidate should be able to communicate, lead and coordinate with onshore and offshore teams)
Core Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Multithreading
Knowledge of internals of hash map, hash collisions, etc.
Good understanding of Kafka
Debugging memory leaks and troubleshooting performance issues in Java
Experience in CI/CD pipelines and Google Cloud Platform technologies
Exposure to Ansible, Jenkins Pipelines, Chef
DevOps exposure is required
Migration to Google Cloud Platform experience with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Jenkins, XLR and some basic Java programming skills
Preferred, but not required
Certifications such as Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Developer, Architect, or equivalent
Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures
Knowledge of other programming languages (Python, Node.js)
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
