We have a great opportunity for an Enterprise Architect to join our architecture team and help us develop technology strategy and roadmaps for delivering unified customer and employee experience that align with Principal’s customer centricity strategy to engage our customers on their terms - when, where, and how they prefer. This is an opportunity to impact our shared services and reimagine how capabilities are delivered. Responsibilities

The Enterprise Architect (EA) will be responsible for defining enterprise application, information, platform, and integration architecture standards, evaluating technologies, designing hybrid platform solutions and reference architectures, documenting, and managing implementation of multi-year roadmaps that solve Principal’s business problems. Define platform architecture standards and ensure appropriate alignment of process and technology solutions with platform architecture guidance. Lead platform architecture strategies to optimize and modernize the platform technology portfolio and encourage reusability and adaptability of Principal's process and technology assets to achieve enterprise leverage. Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to influence, coach, and mentor on how to consume and apply key aspects of the platform architecture. Identify possible opportunities inherent to the technology and future market trends, including development, socialization, and concurrence on an overall global IT architectural roadmap working with the broader enterprise architecture community of practice (CoP). Who You Are

You have a bachelor’s degree or related experience. You have 3+ years of experience in developing technology strategies and architecting solutions with a multi-business unit organization (ideally global organization). You are hands-on, and have practical expertise in the architecture and implementation of enterprise hybrid (cloud and on-prem) technologies in support of application hosting, workspace, and ITSM functions. You have a solid understanding of shared services and a desire to reimagine how capabilities are delivered. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and growth within architecture field (i.e., training, or architectural certifications such as TOGAF or Certified Business Architect). Knowledge of financial and insurance industry preferred. Salary and Benefits

Salary Range Information: Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly) $91,000 - $152,000 / year Work Life and Eligibility

Time Off Program: Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don’t accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided. Work Environment: This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek).
