We are currently seeking a talented and energetic Civil or Environmental Engineer Project Manager to lead water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure projects for our San Francisco Bay Area or Greater Sacramento Area offices. Responsibilities

As a Civil or Environmental Engineer Project Manager, you’ll manage planning, design, and construction of water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater infrastructure projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, Greater Sacramento Area, and throughout California. Under the supervision of a principal engineer, you’ll lead the preparation of feasibility studies, master plans, basis of design studies, and contract documents, and provide bid support and construction management services for water and other infrastructure projects. You’ll complete projects profitably and deliver high-quality work products while mentoring other team members. EKI will provide training and mentoring to encourage your career development. Assemble, manage, and provide technical guidance to multi-disciplinary project teams. Manage and implement pre-design investigations and preparation of contract documents. Prepare and review project technical reports and deliverables. Coordinate with client representatives, regulatory and external stakeholders, and technical subconsultants. Communicate with clients on complicated technical problems in an effective and efficient manner. Manage and administer construction-phase engineering support and construction, including submittal reviews and requests for information, change order requests and negotiations, and dispute resolutions. Perform and manage design and construction field observation activities. Support preparation of proposals. Understand client needs and build and maintain trusted client relationships. Execute projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary, and scheduling requirements. Delegate and manage work effectively. Provide mentorship and leadership to junior engineers. Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (Master’s degree preferred). 7–15 years of relevant experience in performing/managing water, wastewater, recycled water, and/or stormwater infrastructure projects. Professional Civil Engineer license in California. Proven experience with the development of technical work products including but not limited to construction documents. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral. Strong organizational skills and attention to technical details. Experience in providing technical and project leadership to junior engineers. Computer skills: strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project; AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience preferred. Benefits and Compensation

The expected compensation range for this position is $105,000 – $170,000 annually plus bonus depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
