Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall financial health and strategic planning of the company. This role involves not only managing the finance department but also acting as a business partner to the President and providing key insights to Senior Leadership. This role will develop and implement mission critical programs, and help to lead the growth of the business, the development of the people, and ensure the company’s long-term success. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial strategies to achieve company short-term and long-term goals and objectives Prepare and manage the annual budget and financial forecasts Conduct financial planning and analysis, forecasting and budgeting to provide insights into the company’s financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements Lead the financial integration strategy and execution for the merger of two organizations, aligning accounting systems, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, while mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements Collaborate with estimators and project managers to align financial strategies with operational goals, while serving as a cross-functional people leader who fosters accountability, communication, and team development beyond the finance department Manage cash flow and Collaborate with other departments to support business initiatives and decision-making Identify and assess financial risks, including market risk, credit risk, and operational risk Identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements Report to the President of the company and provide strategic financial advice and recommendations to the executive management team Drive financial performance through performance metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance management processes Design and implement a scalable finance department structure Recruit, hire, and onboard finance team members to build a high-performing team Mentor and coach team members to support their professional growth and development All other tasks and duties as assigned Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in the commercial HVAC, construction or a related industry Proven track record of managing financial operations and driving strategic initiatives Strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights Excellent communication and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams Proven ability to scale finance operations in high-growth environments, including ERP and financial software system implementation Experienced in leading and expanding finance teams of 8+ direct reports Apply for this job
