Sr. Principal Software Engineer
to support the Sentinel program in
Huntsville, AL . This role involves backend software development and evaluating candidate Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, up to 10% of the time. Responsibilities
Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Perform work without appreciable direction. Qualifications
Sr. Principal Engineer Software: 8 years with a Bachelor’s in related field, 6 years with a Master’s, 4 years with a PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date within the last 6 years. U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP). Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly. Thorough understanding of operating systems such as VxWorks and Linux. Solid understanding of hardware architecture, hardware registers, buses, interrupts, device communication, and protocols (PCI, SPI, I2C, UARTs, SERDES). Experience in CPU configuration, cache configuration, flash, memory map configuration, PCI tree static configuration. Nice to have
Embedded Controller experience (e.g., Arduino) and DSP. Proficient in Embedded Linux Development. Hands-on experience with a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS). Experience with VxWorks and Linux embedded development. Device driver development experience and knowledge of Board Support Package development and Bootloaders. Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range:
$131,100.00 - $196,700.00 .
