MH-60R Developmental Test Pilot
KBR is seeking an MH-60R Developmental Test Pilot to join our team in Patuxent River, Maryland. By joining KBR, you will be a part of the world’s largest independent flight test organization supporting both US-Government and Commercial Agencies.
Program Summary:
Our aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew project support at Patuxent River. The selected applicant will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor, and industry personnel while supporting flight test. HX-21, also known as the "Blackjacks", is a U.S. Navy squadron responsible for developmental flight test and evaluation of rotary-wing and tilt-rotor aircraft, and their airborne systems. HX-21\'s mission is to support all U.S. Navy and Marine Corps training, combat, and combat support missions.
Role and Responsibilities
This position supports HX-21 Developmental Test and Evaluation at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), NAS Patuxent River, MD
The applicant must be able to perform the duties of an MH-60R/S developmental test pilot and project officer.
The selected candidate will support a wide range of NAWCAD test and evaluation requirements including test planning meetings, test plan development, event planning, test procedure and card development, flight briefings, test execution, post-event support, test reporting, and deficiency reporting.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree is required.
Graduate of a rotary wing flight mechanics curriculum from a recognized test pilot school (e.g., the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, Empire Test Pilot School, EPNER Test Pilot School) is required.
Minimum six (6) years of experience.
Two (2) years of rotary wing RDT&E flight experience is required.
A minimum of 1,500 total flight hours and 800 first pilot hours in rotary wing aircraft are required.
Current or previous qualifications as MH-60R/S Helicopter Aircraft Commander and Maintenance/Functional Check Flight pilot are required.
Candidate must be able to pass the physical and training qualification requirements to provide contract aircrew support, including completion of Navy water survival and aviation physiology training, as well as annual FAA Class II flight physical.
Some travel will be required to support this position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Current aircraft qualification and recent experience with rotary wing T&E techniques, concepts, principles, and practices are preferred.
An active secret level security clearance.
Schedule and Compensation
40 hours/week
$176,660 - $264,990
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
