Overview
We are seeking to identify a Diagnostic Imaging Manager to lead our Imaging Services team at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Northwest Portland. This role is essential to our mission of making life better for others through compassionate, high-quality care.
You will oversee a wide range of imaging modalities including X-Ray, CT, Mammography, Ultrasound, MRI, and Nuclear Medicine. With responsibility for supervising over 50 FTEs, you’ll recruit and develop a high-performing team, assign workloads, and refine procedures to ensure operational excellence and patient satisfaction.
Collaboration is key in this role. You’ll work across departments, communicate effectively with staff, leaders, and patients to navigate complex challenges and other situations with tact and curiosity. Your leadership will foster a culture of care, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Strong financial acumen and strategic insight are essential, as you’ll manage budgets and optimize resources within diagnostic imaging.

Legacy Good Samaritan features nationally renowned doctors in cancer care, kidney transplantations, neurology, ophthalmology, weight-loss surgery, robotic surgery, rehabilitation and more, plus Oregon’s only 24-hour urgent care that’s located alongside an emergency room, with access to emergency care if needed.
Responsibilities Manages the daily operational activities of the Diagnostic Imaging departments in alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.
Participates in the recruitment, interviewing, selection, training, and evaluation of staff. Assesses technical and professional education needs of the staff and develops or provides educational resources to meet those needs. Assigns workloads and monitors quantity and quality of work. Determines and/or manages business priorities and plans. Develops and implements policies and procedures to insure efficient and effective delivery of health services. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of services. Develops and monitors the department's operating and capital budgets. Approves or monitors expenditures, purchases and other actions to insure compliance with budget guidelines. Works collaboratively with physicians and staff to budget and introduce technology appropriately. Demonstrates knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to departmental operations/accreditation and ensures departmental compliance.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Minimum five years management experience related to area of responsibility.
Thorough knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management and workflow planning.
Skills:
Working knowledge of imaging department systems, including Radiology Information Systems, PACS, and Imaging equipment, and related regulations required.
Proven leadership expertise, financial management and excellent human resources skills required.
