The Mammography Technologist I will be responsible for performing quality patient care and mammographic images for diagnostic purposes, while creating a tranquil environment for patients during examinations. Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper file identification Demonstrate competency performing all mammographic procedures and operating related equipment Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information in computer system Obtain mammographic images according to guidelines Maintain logs and process paperwork for biopsies Utilize sterile techniques to prevent contamination Maintain quality standards as they relate to HIPAA regulations Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies Assist in the accreditation process for American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years; maintain CPR certification Observe patient vital signs during examinations Provide coverage as needed (e.g., call outs or extended schedules) Provide instruction/mentoring to new hires Provide a positive patient experience by communicating procedure details and follow-up steps Maintain communication with radiologists, physicians, patients and families Submit diagnostic-quality images and perform quality assurance on images and equipment Perform daily QA evaluations (e.g., processor QC and phantom QC) Document monthly, quarterly, and yearly QC testing Perform mammographic imaging daily in accordance with ACR accreditation guidelines Address patient concerns before and after examinations Assist in ensuring a positive experience for referring providers and maintain quality Contribute to efficient outpatient operations and maximize modality productivity Review examinations for technical accuracy and communicate pertinent data to care teams Demonstrate teamwork and contribute to a collaborative work environment Meet deadlines with accountability, flexibility and adaptability Support professional growth and maintain certifications, registrations and CME activities Qualifications
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) (M) certified Diagnostic Mammography certified Demonstrated ability to use the department's computerized system and devices Preferred Qualifications: Associate degree or Baccalaureate degree in radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine 1+ years of experience as a general radiologic technologist Ability to follow oral and written instructions Ability to communicate with patients, visitors and staff Physical Demands
Standing and walking for extended periods Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds Eyesight correctable to 20/20 to operate equipment and review films Core Customers and Key Relationships

Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contributions. The hourly pay range is $28.27 to $50.48 for full-time employment.
