The ER Program Manager leads and supports employee relations initiatives, promotes and supports compliance with labor laws and fosters a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This role is responsible for managing complex employee relations issues, collaborating on ADA and leave management processes, and ensuring consistent application of company policies across multiple states. This position interacts with all levels of leadership regarding progressive discipline matters and exercises independent discretion when providing advice and making decisions related to job responsibilities. The role requires flexibility and proactive collaboration across all HR functions, and hands-on support wherever needed to ensure seamless team operations and exceptional service delivery. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and subject matter expertise, while maintaining regular alignment with the department manager. Core Contributions

Lead the progressive disciplinary process and provide expert consultation to managers on performance concerns and conflict resolution. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues and deliver actionable recommendations, performing terminations when necessary. Coach and advise employees and leaders on sensitive HR matters, fostering a respectful work environment. Facilitate individual and/or group discussions to foster effective communication and healthy workplace relationships among employees and management. In collaboration with the Benefits team, lead the interactive process for ADA accommodations; engage in an interactive process with employees to determine appropriate accommodations, ensuring proper documentation, and coordinating return-to-work processes. Identify suitable accommodations that enable the employee to perform their job duties. Coordinate with Benefits and Payroll teams to ensure seamless leave. Establish effective communication channels to keep employees informed and engaged. Responsible for executing job duties in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including ADA, FMLA, ADEA, Title VII, USERRA, and FLSA. Partner with legal counsel on complex cases and terminations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes. While empowered to lead initiatives and make informed decisions, this role is expected to escalate critical issues and seek managerial input on high-impact matters. Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and employee handbooks that reflect current legislation and best practices. Navigate and apply multi-state employment regulations, ensuring consistent and compliant practices across all locations. Collaborate with Learning & Development and Diversity & Inclusion teams to deliver training on employment law, people management, and inclusive practices. Collaborates closely with manager to validate strategic decisions, ensure alignment with organizational goals, and maintain compliance with internal policies. Establish effective communication channels and methods to keep employees informed about company updates, performance, policies, and events. Participate in projects that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Utilize company resources and data to identify areas for improvement. Review management practices and their impact on employee experience. Assess the impact that people practices and policies have on the employee experience. Work closely with the FLOD & ERM, IA & Legal teams as necessary and appropriate to fulfill job duties. Regularly review and audit company practices to ensure ongoing compliance with multi-state regulations and make necessary adjustments to policies and procedures. Assets You Will Bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or relevant experience 5+ years of experience within the area Strong knowledge of labor laws, conflict resolution techniques, and organizational behavior PHP or SHRM certification preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is crucial for creating reports, presentations, and analyzing data. Familiarity with HCMS (UKG Pro preferred) and data analysis tools Regular, reliable attendance is required Excellent Interpersonal skills, Critical Thinking, Conflict Resolution, Verbal and Written Communication, Emotional Intelligence, Performance Management, HR Legal Compliance, Human Capital Management Systems, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Corporate Culture The estimated salary for this role is $82,051.00 to $98,462.00 annually.
