Overview
Data Scientist - Modeling, Inference & Advanced Analytics at Shield Consulting Solutions, Inc. is a full-time role. This position requires active TS/SCI w/Polygraph clearance. Responsibilities
Optimization of data processing and identification of inefficient processes. Experience with data visualizations, dashboards, and the generation of data insight reports. Apply Machine Learning algorithms; experience with PROFORMA is beneficial. Qualifications
10 years of relevant experience in designing/implementing machine learning, data science, and advanced analytical algorithms. Programming experience in at least one high-level language (e.g., Python) and at least one mid-level language (e.g., C). Experience in data mining, advanced statistical analysis (statistical foundations of machine learning, handling missing data, time series), advanced mathematical foundations (e.g., numerical methods, graph theory), artificial intelligence, workflow and reproducibility, data management and curation, and data modeling and assessment (e.g., model selection, evaluation, and sensitivity analysis). Experience as a data scientist supporting a single or multiple domain areas; experience in more than three areas is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. Ability to translate practical mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements and communicate principled conclusions from data to non-technical audiences. Experience Details
Employ some combination (2 or more) of the following areas: Foundations (Mathematical, Computational, Statistical); Data Processing (Data management and curation, data description and visualization, workflow and reproducibility); Modeling, Inference, and Prediction (Data modeling and assessment, domain-specific considerations). Devise strategies for extracting meaning and value from large datasets; make and communicate principled conclusions using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and domain knowledge. Translate mission needs into technical requirements and assist others with drawing appropriate conclusions from data analyses. Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Stay aware of NSA/CSS capabilities and limitations when evaluating technical solutions. Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $170,000 - $180,000 annually Excellent benefits package including 25 days PTO, 11 paid holidays, 100% employer-paid healthcare for employees and dependents – available day 1, 8% 401(k) employer match – immediate vesting.
