Assistant Manager. The ASM sets the tone for the store team and helps bring the TLE brand to life for customers and employees. This leadership role supports the store objective to achieve performance goals and drive profitability through customer service, operations, merchandising, training, and talent development. Responsibilities
Lead the sales team to exemplary customer service Ensure store profitability is a frontmost priority Recruit, hire, and develop talent to drive a culture of excellence Seek opportunities for efficiencies where possible Train and develop the sales team in ways that exemplify the TLE brand Customer Experience
Connect with customers and set the tone for excellent customer service Share the TLE story and engage customers Maintain superior product knowledge and share with staff Train staff to embody TLE core values and leadership traits Delegate projects to focus on customer first Remain calm and responsible in challenging situations Train team on Loss Prevention techniques and store operations Handle customer service situations promptly and professionally Lead by example in creating customer profiles for repeat business Operations
Manage time effectively and ensure open/close with daily sales flow Maintain attention to detail and performance standards Oversee cash handling and payment processing, minimize discrepancies Enforce cash handling, merchandising, and service standards Coordinate with merchandising teams to meet standards and stock merchandising Assist in organizing in-store creative events Leadership + Talent Development
Model team-oriented leadership and TLE traits Encourage creativity and open communication Ensure staff engagement and participation in promotions Communicate relevant TLE news openly Conduct staff reviews and coaching Maintain professionalism and calm in all situations Use solution-based methods to address issues Sales and Financial Performance
Motivate the team to increase sales and improve basket value Collaborate with merchandising and buying to optimize profits Monitor inventory counts, damages, and stock movements Coordinate weekly inventory with stockroom teams Ensure stock is properly stored and routed to stockrooms Incentivize promotions and perform year-to-date comparisons Track KPIs and provide insights to store operations and buying teams Assist with inventory audits and reporting Communicate with buyers about stock levels and growth opportunities Support annual store inventory processes Employee Conduct
Uphold TLE core values and a no drugs/alcohol policy Ensure appropriate internet usage and confidentiality Adhere to dress code and act as a brand ambassador Lead by example with punctuality and adherence to meal/break times Comply with store and company policies Key Relationships
ASM reports to District Manager (DM) Collaborates with DM on sales floor experience, customer satisfaction, and merchandising basics Regular contact with Visual Merchandiser (VM) on merchandising updates Direct reports: Store Team Members (STM) and delegation of tasks to support customer experience Our Ideal Candidate
