*Summary*

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at South of Market Child Care in San Francisco. In this vital role, you will contribute to the development and implementation of speech therapy programs that support the communication needs of children in our care, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life.

*Key Responsibilities:Assessment & Direct Intervention*

* Conduct thorough assessments to accurately diagnose speech and language communication disorders in children ages 0-5. * Develop and implement individualized and/or group treatment plans and goals tailored to each child's unique needs. * Provide direct, evidence-based therapy to enhance students' speech production, vocal quality, and language comprehension and expression. * Facilitate engaging individual and/or small group instruction focused on targeted speech, language, and communication development. * Perform comprehensive student screenings to include: assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, and hearing as needed. * Create high-quality, detailed evaluation reports that accurately reflect assessment findings and inform intervention strategies.

*Collaboration & Support*

* Partner effectively with family members, teachers, school administrators, the Early Intervention Specialist, and other professionals to design and implement holistic, comprehensive treatment approaches. * Provide ongoing support, guidance, and practical strategies to teachers and family members to reinforce therapeutic goals in diverse settings. * Actively participate in relevant meetings, including teaching team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to ensure integrated and coordinated care.

*Documentation & Professional Growth*

* Maintain comprehensive notes on student progress, meticulously documenting all consultation sessions and collecting data to track outcomes. * Manage organized student files and treatment logs, ensuring appropriate and timely documentation is shared with the interdisciplinary team. * Continuously adjust therapies and treatment plans based on ongoing progress monitoring and reassessment to optimize student outcomes. * Remain current on the latest research, developments, and best practices in speech-language pathology and related fields through ongoing professional development.

*Qualifications:*

* Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to efficiently prioritize a diverse caseload and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. * Proven capacity to maintain professionalism and effectiveness in a fast-paced environment. * Strong dedication to contributing to a supportive and positive team atmosphere. * Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a wide range of staff members (e.g., educators, school administrators). * Physical ability to lift a child of 30 pounds; set up and move furniture; and bend, squat, sit, kneel, and stand comfortably to engage children at their level. * Proficiency in using Google Workspace applications (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail) and Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

*Required*

* American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology (CCC-SLP). * Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field.

*Preferred*

* Spanish fluency to better serve our diverse student population. * At least 2 years of direct experience working with students ages 0-5. * Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and personal patient records and information with the utmost confidentiality.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
